Day 2 of 365 ...Beaverton City Library and the Teen Poetry Coffeehouse Event

Celebrate National Poetry Month!  Whether you’re a writer with a muse, or simply a prose fan, join us for coffee, tea and pastries.  Read a poem you wrote, or a work by a famous wordsmith. For grades 6-12.  No registration required!

The Beaverton City Library, one of the busiest library facilities in the State of Oregon, serves a population of approximately 136,000 (the population of Beaverton plus a portion of the unincorporated residents of Washington County). Each month over 70,000 people visit the Library to check out over 2.7 million items per year. The Library is open 7 days per week and maintains a collection of over 330,000 items.


The Library offers traditional print materials including best sellers plus Books on CD, music CDs, DVD collections, foreign language materials, and much more. Many electronic databases and access to the Internet are also available on the Library’s 80 public access workstations. As a member of the Washington County Cooperative Library Service, patrons have access to the holdings of the eleven public libraries that make up the cooperative.
