The Banks Community Library was established in 1976 by the Sunset Library Society.  Service was first offered in a green bookmobile located on city property.  The library then shared space in the Banks Junior High School until 1988, when it moved to space of its own in the Oak Village Shopping Center.  Ground breaking for a new 3,000 square foot library took place September of 1996, and the library was formally dedicated on May 16, 1997.

05/05/10 - Preschool Story Time- Banks Public Library

10:15 am to 11:00 am - Banks Public Library Community Room

Do you have a youngster who needs something to do on Wednesday mornings?  Story time at the library could be the answer.  Our reader, Miss Cathy, picks a few stories around a theme each week and shares these stories with the children in an entertaining, engaging way.  Story Time is designed for children aged three to six, but younger siblings are welcome.
