SUNSET SPEEDWAY PARK

"End of the week and the weather is cooperating to provide great dirt track car racing this evening.  Come out to Banks Sunset Speedway for an evening of dirt track racing."  05/15/10 per Raymond Deeth, longtime resident of Banks, Oregon.

Sunset Speedway, is a 1/3rd mile clay dirt track located in Banks, Oregon.  The facility is owned and operated by Jerry Schram.  The tracks racing season starts in April and runs through September.  Due to the cold evenings, the first half of the race season has been moved up earlier in the day to accomodate the fans.  Each Saturday night over 100 cars compete for championship points in the Late Model, Street Stock, Pure Stock, Modified, 4-Bee, Womens, and Tracer divisions.
